Philodendron serpens Red

Philodendron serpens is a remarkable and fascinating species in the Philodendron genus, known for its unique characteristics and suitability as a houseplant. It is especially prized for its velvety, heart-shaped leaves and conspicuous, hairy petioles, which contribute to its distinctive texture and appearance. The name 'serpens,' derived from Latin meaning 'creeping' or 'crawling,' suggests its growth habit, which, like many philodendrons, can be either climbing or spreading. With its striking foliage and unusual hairy petioles, Philodendron serpens makes a captivating addition to any indoor plant collection, providing an exotic touch and a distinctive visual and tactile experience.

These plantlets have been deflasked and acclimatised for more than a month and have since produced 2 or more  leaves.  You will need a basic set up to modify light, humidity and warmth to properly grow this plant. Acclimatised, planted in a 50x50mm grow pot, in sphagnum and perlite mix. Will be including a care tip flyer for every purchase to ensure your are looking after it in the best way you can. 

First 3 photos are of a sample mature plant we have grown. Subsequent photos are a good representation of the batch and will be picked at random.
